Iztuzu: a difficult year in Paradise.

After an international campaign to protect the sea turtles of Iztuzu Beach,  Turkey’s beautiful Dalyan Delta was made a nature reserve. Within a decade the tiny Muslim community of Dalyan, home to 240 souls, became a global village welcoming 100,000 European tourists a year. Now apparent strife between the Islamic world and the West has frightened the tourists away – and the turtles face new threats. As religious division and environmental destruction appear to menace us all, Iztuzu follows the intimate dramas of three families and charts a year in the life of this beguiling community as they face an uncertain future together.

Iztuzu is a feature documentary for cinema. Principal photography will finish in June 2019.
